Reflective Supervision Collaborative - Virtual

Parents as Teachers Group Reflective Supervision offers facilitated peer support to supervisors of home visiting programs through LearningWorks, LLC.

Peer support offers individuals an opportunity to connect and share experiences and learning with others seeing beyond individual lenses. Reflective practice offers opportunities to explore identity, strengths, challenges, perceptions, assumptions, and beliefs that influence decisions and actions every day. Reflective practice provides space to clarify goals and integrate skills. It supports individuals and teams to become more flexible and adaptive as they work in complex, ever-changing systems.

11 sessions will occur monthly creating space for supervisors to reflect on their experiences as a supervisor. Share learning and support each other around challenges. Peer supervisor reflection is loosely structured to support supervisor driven topics each month.

If you meet the registration qualifications, register on the Parents as Teachers website or to get support with accessibility needs.

Registration is at capacity. I am available to facilitate reflective practice groups for your organization.

Mentoring/ Coaching Learning Series (Virtual)

Mentoring/ Coaching Learning Series (Virtual)

In your work as a coach you get an opportunity to impact people, practice, quality and outcomes. This learning series will support you in your intentional growth in your role as a coach or mentor. Participating shared that participating in this learning cohort has resulted in upping their game in their roles as coaches and in their planning and execution of their facilitation in Communities of Practice.

As part of the cohort, you will be assigned a 15-30 minute reading and some practice activities in between meetings. The practice is incorporated into the work you are doing because after all… that’s the point! To enhance your daily practice. One example of that is, you may be asked to choose a regular meeting you have and pay attention to how you are posing questions and practice a new way to pose questions. The group will meet monthly for one hour to reflect on your experiences and to learn and practice new skills together. What better way to grow coaching skills then to learn and practice together!

This cohort is scheduled monthly for 12 months. Contact LearningWorks with questions and/or accessibility needs.

Registration for this opportunity is at capacity. I am available to facilitate this learning series for your organization.

Adaptive Schools Foundation Seminar

The training not only explores what makes teams effective, but how to develop skills as facilitators and informed group members in informal and formal settings, in small and large groups. It takes participants beyond the idea of professional learning communities to the actual implementation, describing specific ways to weave the collaborative fabric of a faculty, develop group member skills, and acquire the principles and understandings to engage in a continuous cycle of team and individual improvement. Adaptive Schools is the “how” of professional learning communities: how to behave in groups, how to lead them, and how to facilitate them for improved leading, teaching, and learning.

In the four-day Adaptive Schools Foundation Seminar, participants will develop:

  • An increased capacity to initiate, develop and sustain high functioning groups

  • New lenses for diagnosing the stages and phases of group development

  • An expanded repertoire of practical facilitation tools

  • Understandings of when and how to engage groups in dialogue and discussion, the limitations, forms and values of each
